Our programmes wouldn't be possible without your generous support. We are so grateful for every minute and every penny. For us, there is no donation too small. Here are some of the awesome ways you can support Open Up Music:

  • Host a fundraising event: Put on a concert, organise a musical auction, host a community trivia night... Whatever event you're planning to raise funds for Open Up Music, we'd love to hear about it! Spread the word about Open Up Music in your community. Some local musicians, venues, and businesses might be willing to help.

  • Do a sponsored activity: Take part in a sponsored walk, fun run, fancy dress day or any creative activity... Could you learn to play a new piece of music, or even write one, every day for a month? It can be fun to challenge yourself.

  • Crowdfunding campaign: Set up an online crowdfund where people can donate and learn more about Open Up Music's cause. Don't forget to promote it through social media, emails and word of mouth!

We appreciate that donating money isn't an option for everyone. But, there are still plenty of ways you can support our work:

  • Attend an Open Up Music event: Join us for a National Open Youth Orchestra concert, or a musical showcase we're taking part in. Buying tickets to our events is a great way to support young disabled musicians.

  • Spread the word: Follow us on social media, share information about us online and in your community. Let young disabled people know about the musical opportunities that are available to them.

  • Donate instruments: If you have musical instruments you no longer use, consider donating them to Open Up Music. Please note however that we can't accept them all and will make a decision on a case-by-case basis, depending on the needs of our orchestras.

  • Volunteer your time: We hugely appreciate the support we've been given by photographers, videographers and accessibility experts. You can also apply to become a trustee. Please email us if you can donate your time and skills.

There's an amazing community of people doing amazing things to show their support for Open Up Music.
